Have to brag- our youngest son, Scott, received a national award in Nashville for his work at Summa Hospital (Akron, Ohio) for promoting ethnic groups.  Here he is with Naomi Judd on stage at the Grand Ol'Opery.

Flea Market Finds!

I just returned from a trip to Gettysburg and the Lancaster, PA area with my DH.  Now I must say that I was disappointed at first about this trip, as we had to cancel a more expensive one, staying by the ocean. It turned out to be a fabulous 4 days, with tons of goodies to be had at great prices!  Fantastic buttons and fabric at the New Oxford outdoor flea market and what deals on photos in Adamstown- Reiningers and Shupp's Grove outdoors.  I think the weather kept a lot of people away, but we escaped the rain throughout!  Also had crab toast and Maryland crab soup at great restaurants.  Just so much fun!  Even DH enjoyed it and found finds for me!!!!

Art & Soul 2008

I loved the classes I took at Art & Soul in Virginia, including from the instructors Leighanna Light, Michael DeMeng, Stephanie Rubiano and Cathy Taylor.  It would be hard to pick a favorite, as they each had their own style- everyone was a delight!

Of course, it was just a wonderful experience catching up with my dear friends and playing show and tell every night with our projects of the day.  Hugs and kisses to ya' all!!!!~ Lou

Thanks for Caring

Thanks to all for their messages and caring thoughts for our dear friend, Karl Kelling.  He is now, after 5 weeks, showing improvement!  He had a massive stroke at 48 yrs. old, but now is responding by shaking head appropriately to commands.  He is having trouble seeing, and moving legs, but we have high hopes of his survival now.  Went to a benefit for him where 100's of people donated money, time and gifts for auction.  There are wonderful people in this world, including you all!  Big Hug, Lou
