Recent photo of my DH-Tom, me and Karl who had a massive stroke last year at 48. Just to show you all that miracles do happen! The doctors counted him off and we were planning his funeral. He now can see out of one eye (cried like a baby after surgery!) and may regain sight in his other eye, as it is now starting to track with his other eye (blood had backed up into his optic nerve during stroke.) He has regained all his past memories and sometimes has trouble with short term. He walks with a cane, but walking is improving also.
I know he is a miracle, as I was an intensive care RN for over 20yrs. and never saw such a remarkable recovery. Thanks to all that had our 'friend' in your thoughts and prayers! ~Lou

Wow Lou that is indeed wonderful news....I hope Karl goes on to make an even better recovery, slow though it may be.

Thanks for sharing this amazing good news. There are always so many sad situations being mentioned on our groups that it's wonderful to hear something as miraculous as this. Have you thought about asking the Divas to send him cards. If you think it would help him along his road to recovery I'm sure that you would get a good response. I'd be thrilled to send him a card and good wishes.
