Great Book to Buy and 1st Attempt

 
I received some wonderful book gifts for Christmas, among them, "The Creative Edge" by Mary Todd Beam.  There are nine artistic chapters in the, 'exercises to celebrate your creative self.'  This is my attempt after the first exercise which involved using masking (clear shelf liner), penciling, gel, acrylics with linear and opaques.
